Can Baptism Save You?

The first thing to get into is whether or not baptism can save someone. The idea that baptism can save someone brings up many problems. The first thing that comes to my mind is Romans 11:6 “But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace”. This verse tells us that we can no longer be saved through any works we do, so why would baptism be the exception to that? We can only be saved by the Father’s grace and the Son’s sacrifice. Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” No where in the Bible does it say baptism or any other sacrament such as communion can save you.
