Now, when I got baptized I was very young, and I only did it because I saw my sisters did it. When I started to grow up and mature in my faith I felt great regret for getting baptized so young, and started to wonder if I should get baptized again. After doing some research here is what I learned. First, you need to consider the reason why you want to get rebaptized. For many people it’s due to the feeling that they lacked understanding when they got baptized, or they got baptized before they were truly saved. This was my case. Addressing the feeling of lack of understanding, keep in mind you will never fully understand the Bible. You will always learn and you will always look back at yourself as uninformed. The main thing we always need to look at is your heart posture. Why did you get baptized in the first place? Why do you want to get rebaptized? Getting baptized again won’t necessarily give you any spiritual gain, but it is a good symbol of what Christ has done for you. Ultimately it’s up to your own convictions and motive. Pray and God will provide what He wants you to do.
