First off, what is the Holy Trinity? It’s important to start off knowing that we will never be able to fully grasp the concept of the Holy Trinity. It is simply beyond our human understanding, but I will do my best to explain it as well as I can. The Holy Trinity is one of the foundational beliefs of Christianity. It shows us that there is one God, but three persons. Those three persons are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are all one, but they each have separate roles. I will get into those roles in the next section.
Many people have tried to use metaphors to explain the Trinity, such as saying it’s like an egg (the yoke, white, and shell). But I think that we need to be careful with this. The trinity is unlike anything else we know. It is different parts of a whole, such as the shell or yoke of an egg. Each Person in the Trinity is fully complete and fully God.
